Traffic police honored the bike driver by giving him a reward of ten thousand rupees

New Delhi. A bike rider caught the truck driver who was running away after hitting a person in Paschim Vihar area after chasing him for several kilometers. The traffic police praised the bike rider and honored him with 10 thousand rupees and a citation.
Additional Commissioner of Police Traffic Zone-II Dinesh Kumar Gupta said that on August 9, at around 3 am, information was received about a person being crushed in the area of Pashchim Vihar Traffic Circle. On reaching the spot at Bhera Underpass, Outer Ring Road, Paschim Vihar, the police came to know that an unknown vehicle had crushed the person. After investigation, the police sent the body of the 40-year-old man for post-mortem. Meanwhile, bike rider Hrithik Vats (27) called the police and told that he had chased the accused truck driver involved in the accident and stopped him in Tilak Nagar. On receiving the information, the police reached the spot and arrested the accused truck driver Shivam (24). The accused Shivam is a resident of Farrukhabad, UP, who fled from the spot with the truck after the accident.
