Doodh ka halwa available at Noori Sweets located at Bilaspur Gate, Rampur is a special sweet prepared for generations, which has its roots in the royal food tradition of the city. The specialty of this sweet lies in its simplicity and purity. Pure buffalo milk, ghee, and sugar are used in making it. Halwa is cooked on low flame for hours, due to which the milk thickens and becomes creamy and soft. At the end its sweetness is added, and its soft texture melts in the mouth, which makes it extremely delicious.

The taste of this halwa is very special and unique. Its thick milky taste, mild sweetness and creamy texture make a combination that attracts everyone. Many confectioners in the city prepare this sweet, but making it in the traditional way is not easy for everyone.

The shopkeeper said that the price of milk halwa is Rs 350 per kg. And people come from far and wide to buy it. This halwa is about 45 years old, which was initially made by the shopkeeper’s father. Even today its sweetness and unique specialty attracts people, due to which this traditional sweet is still as popular.
