The copy-paste policy of South films is not being passed, the condition of ‘Shehzada’ is testifying

‘Shehzada’ is a remake of the recent South released last week. As much as the Karthik Aryan starrer was expected to rock the box office, the business of the first two days is being told the opposite. The film’s business on Friday has been only 6 crores. Till Sunday, the film’s luck has collected a total of Rs 20 crores. Above all, this film is a remake of Allu Arjun starrer ‘Ala Baikunthapurramulo’. From the collection of Karthik Aryan’s film, it seems that the audience of Hindi films has started rejecting the remake. Seeing the fate of Hindi remakes of South films in the past, many people feel the same way.

In the case of remake, apart from the production of the film, many other factors work. From casting to story, it should also be kept in mind that the original films have already been released on different OTT platforms and TV channels. Some of these films have also been dubbed and released in Hindi. Therefore, in the remake too, the audience is now looking for a new surprise. Only ‘copy paste’ policy is full guarantee of drowning.

Jersey Hui Thi Flop

Let’s take a look at some big budget Hindi remakes of 2022. Shahid Kapoor starrer ‘Jersey’ was released in April last year. This Telugu remake failed to make a mark at the box office. Every scene is a copy of the original film. The result was that the audience stayed away from the film. But a few years back, the remake of the same film ‘Arjun Reddy’ stormed the box office.

Vikram Vedha had failed

‘Vikram Vedha’ was released in September. Hindi remake of the Tamil film of the same name. The original film had Vijay Sethupathi and Madhavan. Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan were seen in the remake of the Hindi film. Hrithik’s acting was appreciated in the film. But due to the presence of two big stars, the film did not do that business. The film’s total business at the box office stood at Rs 136 crore.
