Actually, many ice cream making companies are already present in the market, but one can get success in this business by making good quality ice cream. Sanjay Kumar Singh, resident of Mahadevpur village under Amarpur block of Banka district, has also started the business of making and selling ice cream. Engaged in this business for last 5 years. From this they are not only earning well but are also providing employment to the people nearby.

Sanjay Kumar Singh told that he had no employment till 2018. However, he kept roaming in the surrounding areas for employment. While roaming around, I came across an ice cream factory. When we got information about this, we came to know that better profits can be earned at less cost. After this, after taking training from UCO RSETI in December 2018, he started an ice cream factory. There was difficulty in the beginning. He used to go to the surrounding areas to sell ice cream on his own Jugaad cart. Gradually, people started liking ice cream and the sales also increased. Many people were hired to expand it. The work of some people was to make ice cream while others used to go to the area and sell it. He said that he is providing employment to more than 10 people in this ice cream business. Everyone earns up to Rs 10,000 at home.

Sanjay told that he always had this desire to do something so that he can provide employment to others while staying in his village. Ice cream factory became the best medium for this. At present the ice cream factory is running well and the demand is also continuously increasing. He told that they are making ice cream ranging from Rs 5 to Rs 25. In which many varieties of ice cream are made including red and orange ice cream, Chocobar, Konodo, Malai Kulfi. He told that before making ice cream, many items have to be prepared for it. Which contains some materials which are brought from Kolkata.

Prepares two thousand ice creams daily
Sanjay told that to make ice cream, the spices are mixed in a mixer machine and then heated, then mixed with water, sugar and color and poured into the mold. After this it is put in the machine to cool down. The ice cream is ready in about one to one and a half hours. It is taken out by putting it in cold water and then stored in the refrigerator. After this it is packed and sold in the market. He told that he prepares 2 thousand pieces of ice cream daily. Which is sold in the surrounding areas. From this they earn more than Rs 5 lakh annually.
