Many theories have been proposed on what will happen to the planets in our solar system after the end of the Sun, but till now scientists have not received authentic information about it. Now the James Webb Space Telescope has discovered such exoplanets whose systems are telling what could be the fate of the planets after the extinction of our Sun. The special thing is that the shape and type of star of the exoplanets that have been discovered is similar to what is expected to happen after the end of our Sun. This discovery of exoplanets tells what will happen to the planets beyond Mars after that.
The Webb Telescope has discovered two exoplanets orbiting different dead stars or white dwarfs. These planets are like the gaseous planets Saturn and Jupiter of our solar system and white dwarfs are also telling about the fate of the Sun. Scientists have been believing that after the Sun turns into a white dwarf, it will destroy the inner planets of the solar system up to Jupiter.
The lead author of the research, Sujan Maulale, says that very few such planets have been discovered which are revolving around the white star. The special thing about these planets is that these planets are more similar to the outer planets of the solar system in terms of temperature, age, mass and orbital separation than any other planet.

The Webb Telescope has discovered WD1202-232 and WD 2015-82, a white dwarf that has an exoplanet that is 11.5 times the distance between our Earth and the Sun. The second exoplanet is approximately 34.5 times the distance of the Earth and the Sun from its star. Scientists believe that the Sun’s nuclear fuel will be exhausted after 5 billion years, after which it will begin to swell like a red dwarf.
When the fuel in the inner surfaces of the Sun runs out, nuclear fusion of the outer layers will continue and after the death of the Sun, its outer layers will start expanding and the Sun will then swallow Mercury, Venus, Earth and possibly Mars as well. When the outer layers cool down, the Sun will turn into a white dwarf. Earlier it was believed that the outer planets would become unclaimed planets after being freed from the influence of the Sun. Whereas this discovery shows that these planets will also continue to revolve around the dead star.
