Rupanshu Chaudhary/Hazaribagh. In Jharkhand, Deoghar i.e. Babadham is famous for Peda. People also like the taste of the trees here. But there is another district of the state, where the trees are very tasty. Dilkhush Peda Bhandar near Padma Gate of Padma block of Hazaribagh district is known far and wide for the taste of its trees. This shop is next to National Highway 33, due to which people passing by the road often stop here to taste the peda and also get it packed.

Dullu Yadav, director of Dilkhush Peda Bhandar, says that this shop was started in 2004. Before this he used to work as a peda maker in Deoghar. After coming back from there, started the work of making Peda here. Currently, Peda is made from 200 kg of local milk every day. For this, 100 kg buffalo and 100 kg cow milk is procured from nearby villages.

While talking to Local18, Dullu Yadav said that products made from milk are like nectar. Due to which Peda is made from pure milk here. Currently, more than 40 kg of pedas are consumed here every day. Sales increase further during festival times. The taste of pedas made here is famous far and wide. Apart from Jharkhand and Bihar, people from many other states have also tasted this peda. Presently Peda is priced at Rs 400 per kg and Rs 10 per piece.
