Shivam Kumar, a resident of Sarai police station area of Vaishali district, said that his sister was married in 2015 to Raju Kumar, son of Dilip Kumar Mahato of Rahmatpur village, by giving dowry. A few days after the marriage, his sister’s in-laws started torturing her in various ways. Later, people came to know that his brother-in-law Raju, who was already living in Siliguri, is married to another woman there. Due to which he wants to get rid of Anjali. She is always tormented in various ways regarding this.
The marks of tying hands and feet with rope are also visible
Anjali’s father Dinanath Mahato told that when they reached Rahmatpur village, his daughter’s body was lying on the bed in the house. There was a mark of a burn on the back of her neck. There are also marks of hands and legs being tied, which is quite likely that his daughter was first strangled to death. To make it look like a suicide, she was hung from the fan and as part of a conspiracy, the body was again taken down from the fan and placed on the bed. If his daughter had committed suicide, then there should have been a mark on the neck from the front and not from the back. There are also marks of rope being tied on the hands and legs. He has alleged that apart from his son-in-law Raju, his daughter has been murdered by his family members.
