Godda. Every child has equal rights in his father’s property. Many times, if he does not have an equal share with his brother in the property, the matter reaches the police and the court. Even his shoes and slippers get worn out while going to the court, but to get an equal share from his father with his brother, a man from Godda has found a unique way, after which it is being discussed all over the district. The matter is of Mahagama in Godda, where a man from Mahagama started roaming around the neighborhood with a band to ask his father for a share in the money for the land given to the railways.
Om Prakash Shukla, a resident of Mahagama, who is demanding his share, said that he had land in Mahuara of Mahagama which was given to the railways and his father had received crores of rupees from the government, but for the last two months his father was not willing to give that money. He wanted to give all the money to his elder son. After this, a panchayat was also held in the society and he also knocked the judicial doors for his share. But when the matter did not work out anywhere, he adopted this unique method.
Then the matter reached the Panchayat
After the band went around the neighborhood, people were surprised and once again a panchayat was held in which it was decided that both the sons will have to give an equal share to their father. The younger son Omprakash said that his father has just accepted that he will divide the money equally. But until the money comes into the account, he will keep playing the band like this.
