Recently an American lander Odysseus made a successful landing on the Moon. Lunar Lander Odysseus, manufactured by Intuitive Machine of Texas, USA, was successful in landing on the Moon, but this landing was not completely accurate and the vehicle also became a little crooked after landing. This incident has made it a unique landing in many ways.
Although it was a lander of a private company, it had full cooperation from NASA. In the case of the Moon, NASA has been providing financial assistance to private companies under the Commercial Lunar Payload Service program. NASA is also sponsoring companies for many experiments. Earlier this year, another American company firm Astrobiotic’s mission Peregrine One had failed to land on the moon. But the intuitive machine was successful.
Odysseus created history by making a successful landing. This is the first landing on the Moon by a private company. But this landing was not a perfect landing. The craft became tilted after landing. Actually, one leg of this vehicle was lost at the time of landing. Although the soft landing was successful, the operational capabilities of the vehicle may be affected.

Earlier, Japanese space agency JAXA had recently successfully soft landed the Smart Lander for Investigating Moon (Slim) vehicle. After doing this, Japan became the fifth country in the list of such countries. Slim also had a crooked landing. And this also hampered his work. But Japan somehow obtained pictures of the spacecraft with the help of a robotic rover, but the American company has not yet shared the pictures of Odysseus.
Landing on the Moon has always been considered a very difficult task because it is very difficult to find a flat landing site here. Apart from this, it is very difficult to make a precise landing at the designated site. This is why many campaigns fail. This incident has once again underlined how difficult landing on the Moon is.
