People living in cities like Delhi-Noida have probably forgotten that there are stars in the sky. When people living in these cities look at the sky at night, they see only darkness. The shine of the stars has been covered so much by pollution that it is now missing from the sky of Delhi-NCR.
But there is a village in this country, from where you can still see the Milky Way. Apart from this, you can also see the stars very clearly from here. Let us tell you about this village, which is called the highest village in the world.
Village located at the highest altitude
There are many places in India, where you will feel that you have come to another planet. One such place is Kaumik village. This village is located in Spiti district of Himachal Pradesh. It is considered to be the highest village in the world. It is said that if you look at the sky from here at night, you will see the Milky Way clearly. Along with this, the stars appear so big from here that you cannot even imagine.
Freezing cold in June
The special thing about this village is that it is freezing cold here even in June. According to reports, the temperature in the world’s highest village remains between 7 to 9 degrees Celsius in the month of June. This village does not have much population. When you go here, you will see only a few houses here. These houses also become empty in winter. This is because it is difficult to live here in winter, so the villagers come to the foothills in winter and then return to their homes as soon as the winter subsides.
