Even though Imarti looks like Jalebi, the taste of both is completely different and there is a lot of difference in the ingredients used in making it. Prajapati Mishthan Bhandar has been there for about 65 years at Dumraon Chowk in Buxar district. Where the best tasting Imarti is made. People come here from far and wide to taste Imarti. This sweet shop is famous in the entire Buxar district.

Up to 600 pieces of Imarti are sold daily
The Imarti of Prajapati Mishthan Bhandar are quite crispy. Along with this, cream is also given along with it. Due to which its taste increases. Shop operator Rahul Prajapati told that this shop is very old and famous. People come here from far and wide to eat Imarti. Here hot Imarti is made every evening and 500 to 600 pieces of Imarti are sold in a day. Rahul Prajapati told that one piece of Emirati is given to the customers for seven rupees. Whereas Malai Imarti is fed to people at Rs 12 per piece. 6 to 7 thousand are sold daily.

The shop is 65 years old
Rahul told that this sweet shop is 65 years old. This shop was started by grandfather. After this the father ran it for a few years and now he himself is running this shop. There is a huge crowd of people here in the evening. Santosh Chaudhary, the artisan making Imarti, said that now very little Imarti is sold in the market. There is some hard work in making it, but there is also peace in it. Santosh told that as much as the heart is happy in making Imarti, its shape and taste will be excellent.

This is how delicious Imarti is prepared
Santosh, the artisan making Imarti, told that the Imarti made here is made from urad dal. To make Imarti, first of all urad dal is soaked for 2 to 3 hours. After that it is ground well in a mortar or grinder.

After grinding the pulses, it is whipped for about 20 to 25 minutes and then food colors are added to it and it is prepared to make Imarti. High quality refined sugar is used to prepare Imarti. Because of which their quality remains intact.
