After covering a distance of about 175 kilometers on foot from Benipatti-Madhubani on October 16, CPI(ML) Mithilanchal’s ‘Badlo Bihar Nyay Yatra’ reached Patailiya in Vibhutipur on Wednesday evening. After which, a resolution was taken to carry forward the legacy of the famous communist leader and former MLA Ramdev Verma by garlanding his statue located at his birthplace and workplace.
A huge farmer dialogue was also organized on the occasion. The program was presided over by ML Central Committee member cum former MLA Manju Prakash. District Secretary of Kisan Mahasabha Lalan Kumar and CPI(ML) Block Secretary Ajay Kumar took turns in conducting the operations. While addressing the gathering, CPI(ML) Politburo member Dhirendra Jha said that due to the increasing population, the central and state governments should set up new industries, but this was not done.
Rather, the already running sugar mills, paper mills etc. were closed. Farmers and laborers have suffered a lot due to this. Samastipur district is an agricultural district. Industries related to spices, banana, potatoes, tomatoes etc. could have been set up here, but the government does not take any steps in this direction.
Throwing light on the rationale of ‘Badlo Bihar Nyay Yatra’, he said that all the poor families of Bihar should be given income certificate of less than Rs. 72 thousand, Rs. 2 lakh each will be given to 94 lakh families under the Small Entrepreneur Scheme announced by the Chief Minister, Giving 5 decimal land and pucca house to the landless, banning smart meters, banning faulty land survey till the documents are available, waiving off group loans, giving 200 units of free electricity in Bihar like other states, pulses in ration, The government’s attention has to be drawn towards adding oil, sugar, old age, seasonal and disabled pension to Rs 3,000.
