She and her company work to “change toxic gym culture by spreading compassion, community, and positivity.”
what went wrong
Joy maintained her positivity despite the ordeal she faced after going for a “routine diagnostic angiogram,” which went wrong as she says the piece of equipment was dropped inside the organ. On the social media platform, he said, ‘One day I came home from the cardiac ICU and I was feeling great, but in a lot of pain and very nervous. Joy’s surgery was going to take 30-45 minutes. During the procedure, a piece of the equipment used in the surgery fell inside his heart, causing a lot of problems.
After accessing both sides of his waist and wrist, the doctors were finally able to remove it. According to Joy it was a miracle. The doctor had never seen anything like this before. He is at home, healthy, working, feeling great but physically and mentally very stressed.
