What is the story of the film?
The film ‘The Sabarmati Report’ is based on the Godhra incident of Gujarat. On February 27, 2002, this Sabarmati Express train was going from Ayodhya to Ahmedabad and it was carrying mostly Hindu pilgrims. He was returning from a religious meeting in Ayodhya. Some people had set fire to a coach of this train and 59 people lost their lives in this incident. Due to this, communal riots broke out across Gujarat. The film ‘The Sabarmati Report’ shows how Hindi and English media portrayed this incident and riots.
