Auraiya tree is very famous. Also, whenever you come to Auraiya, do try the Peda here and remember its history along with its taste. Dharam Sweet House Ajitmal’s trees go to America, the price of which is 340 rupees per kg.

There is a shop named Dharma Sweets near Janta Inter College Ajitmal, where pedas and sweets are being made for about 40 years. The owner of the shop, Agarwal told that for making peda, first of all fresh milk is taken from nearby villages. First the quality of which is checked, after that milk is boiled and Mawa is prepared from milk. The prepared mava is then roasted in a large pan on a low flame for about half an hour and then light sugar is added to it and roasted until the white mava turns red. After turning red, these mawa are kept in a large plate to cool down for about 2 hours. Bura (sugar powder) and cardamom powder are added to the prepared mawa after it cools down, after which it is shaped by hands. The shop owner Agarwal told that the trees of our shop go to America. Actually, people going to America from here definitely take trees.

Make Dharam trees at home in this way
If you want to make Peda at home, then you have to take special care of the quantity. To make Peda at home, first boil 4 liters of milk and prepare its mawa. About one kilo of Mawa is prepared from 4 liters of milk. Along with this, 300 grams of sugar is used in one kilo of mawa. After the mawa is prepared, fry the mawa well for half an hour and first put 150 grams of sugar in it and fry till the mawa turns red. Then keep the roasted mawa to cool down. After it cools down, make powder of the remaining 150 grams of sugar and put it in it. Also add cardamom powder as per taste and mix well with the help of hands. Now your peda batter is ready. You can prepare peda at home by giving it the shape of small laddus with your hands.
