The violent face of Israel changed in Saudi school curriculum and the map of entire Palestine was also removed

Saudi school curriculum: A major change has been revealed in Saudi Arabia’s education system, under which Saudi has now reduced anti-Israel lessons from the school curriculum. It is believed that relations between Israel and Saudi have improved in recent years, after which this change is being seen. A new study has found that Saudi has removed anti-Israel material from textbooks. This research has been done by London’s Institute for Monitoring Peace and Cultural Tolerance in School Education (IMPACT-SE). This institute analyzes textbooks around the world to promote peace and tolerance according to UNESCO standards.

In recent years, the institute has published several reports on the removal of violent and anti-Semitic content from Saudi textbooks. At present, it has not been completely removed. The research highlights that an entire high school social science book containing anti-Israel content has been removed from the curriculum in Saudi Arabia. According to IMPACT-SE, the image of Israel and Zionism has been changed in Saudi Arabia.

Israel was not recognized on the map
The research says that Saudi students no longer read the book in which Zionism was described as a racist European movement. It was told that Israel’s aim is to occupy the whole of Palestine. Israel wants to capture oil wells and Islamic holy sites in Palestine. At present, the map of Israel is still not recognized in Saudi books. But such maps which showed Israel as the whole of Palestine have been removed. The Holocaust has also been removed from the syllabus, which is known as the genocide of Jews by Hitler. Apart from this, Israel is still described as an occupier in the 1948 war.

What was in the previous IMPACT-SE report?
In fact, four negative examples were mentioned in the previous report of IMPACT-SE, which have now been removed. Apart from this, 21 other examples have also been removed. According to the report, the portrayal of Christianity and Judaism has also been improved. In the 2023 version of the curriculum, the allegations against Christians and Jews for changing their religious texts have also been removed.
