A case of theft of crores of rupees has come to light from the house of the niece of a woman judge living in a posh area of Delhi. The woman’s husband is the director of a big company. The servant is missing from the house. The New Friends Colony (NFC) police station has registered a case and started investigation. However, the victim’s family has not yet given the police in writing how much cash and jewellery has been stolen. More than 12 teams of South-East district are conducting raids at various places to search for the accused servant Ajay.
According to South-East District Police officials, Siddharth Gautam, who lives in Block-1, NFC, is a director of a company. His wife also works in a private TV channel. Both husband and wife had gone to work on Wednesday. When they returned home, the main gate was open. All the items in the house were scattered. The servant named Ajay was missing from the house. In the initial investigation, the police found out that the accused Ajay has taken away jewellery and cash worth crores of rupees from the house. The victim’s family is still trying to find out how much jewellery and cash has been stolen from the house.
According to the police officials, the victim’s family had hired the servant six days ago. He told his name was Ajay. He was hired on the recommendation of an old servant. Before the victim’s family could get the job verified by the police, the accused packed up the belongings and took away the house. In the preliminary investigation, the police found out that the accused was a resident of Odisha. As such, the police has increased checking at all the railway stations, bus stands and borders of Delhi. Apart from the police teams of the south-east district, teams of the Special Cell and Crime Branch of Delhi Police have been deployed to catch the servants.
