Some even believe that there is a shadow of ghosts here.

Village buried in rocks
Actually, there are many folk tales about this place in Lahaul Valley. Famous litterateur Dr. Surat Thakur told Local 18 that this area holds many mysteries in itself. It is believed that there was a village in this area earlier. But, many years ago the whole village got buried under these stones. There is a special story behind the village getting buried under the stones, which is quite famous in the area.

A mountain fell on the insult of the elderly!
Dr. Surat told that there used to be a tradition in this village of Lahaul valley that before any feast, the eldest person was given respect. Then food was served to small children and the rest of the people. According to folklore, many years ago a program was going on in this village, where people were sitting in a row to eat food. During this, an elderly person of the village had to sit at the back, due to which he got angry. Seeing his insult, he said that nature itself will take revenge for this. That very night the whole mountain came down and the village got buried in it.

Then that village settled here
Further, he said that according to the folklore, only one woman of this village survived, who had gone to another village that day. It is believed that after that, no human settlement could be established in this area. Now this village is settled on the other side of the river. But, this pile of stones looks different from a distance. The color seems to change with the sunlight.
