There are many Kulfi stalls in Hazaribagh, but there is one such shop which is famous far and wide for its taste. Shri Baharo Kulfi Wala situated at Jhanda Chowk has been maintaining its dominance for more than 50 years.

Director Shailendra Kumar Yadav told that his grandfather had started this Kulfi stall 50-60 years ago. Today, about 100 liters of Kulfi made from home-made milk is sold here every day. Almost half of the milk in this remains homemade. Three varieties of Kulfi are available in the stall, which include Simple Kulfi for Rs 30, Malai Kulfi for Rs 40 and Cashew-Saffron Malai Kulfi for Rs 50. According to the price, the size of these kulfis is also big.

The operator told that to make Kulfi, milk is first cooked on a wood stove for about 5 hours. The taste of Kulfi made from milk cooked in wood becomes even better. Then cardamom and sugar are added to it. This kulfi is packed in a box. In kulfi with cream and cashew-pistachio, cream and cashew-pistachio are added at the time of packing.

To reach this stall you will have to come to Jhanda Chowk of Hazaribagh. You will see this shop opposite the Bata showroom on the way from Jhanda Chowk to the railway station.
