Baliya: If the heart is attached to the wall then what is the use of a fairy… Priest Raghav Das, a resident of Ballia in Uttar Pradesh, has proved this saying true by dedicating himself to stone idols and hundreds of speechless creatures. So much love of a person for speechless creatures not only soothes the hearts of people but also makes them aware of a good lesson. This person has become so attached to these speechless monkeys that he goes out to ask for help from the local people for their maintenance. He asks people to arrange something to feed the monkeys.
Raghav Das said that this famous Majhosnath (Shiv Mandir) is a religious place where hundreds of voiceless monkeys reside all the time. The amazing view here is very beautiful and gives peace to everyone. Visitors come here from far and wide and spend some time with these monkeys. This unique place is located in Vidya Bhawan Narayanpur under Bansdih police station area of Ballia district.
50 kg of grains have to be arranged in a day
It is a wonderful moment when we get to see the love between a human and a mute creature. Taking care of arranging food for hundreds of monkeys, priest Raghav Das feeds these monkeys about 50 kg of grains every day. According to the priest, he gets a lot of peace in this work. These are mute creatures and cannot speak, so it is the duty of humans to serve/help them.
The priest says that these are our everything. Whatever donations we get at this temple, I feed them to these monkeys and when I fall short, I ask for food grains from the local people without hesitation. Priest Raghav Das begs for alms for these monkeys and from somewhere or the other, he arranges food and water for these mute monkeys.
