CCTV installed at Khagaria railway station caught a thief red handed by the police. The Railway Police has registered a FIR against the thief and sent him to jail. The incident is being reported around 6:00 am on Monday. The arrested thief has been identified as Mohammad Saddam, 24 year old son of Mohammad Jalal, resident of Purba Sarai Minnat Nagar Shamshpur, Kotwali police station area of Munger district. Police have seized two stolen mobile phones from the thief. RPF Inspector Arvind Ram said that the thief was seen in a suspicious condition in CCTV, after which action was taken and he was arrested.

According to the Railway Police, the arrested thief was searching the bag of a passenger who was resting in the waiting hall of platform number one. Here, when the police personnel monitoring the CCTV cameras became suspicious of the young man, the police searched him. Two stolen mobile phones were recovered from him.
