A youth caught a thief who had entered a house in Alipur. To free himself, the thief attacked the youth on the head with a piggy bank and tried to escape. The youth was covered in blood due to the attack. On hearing the noise, people from the nearby area reached there and beat up the caught thief. Later he was handed over to the police. However, two companions of the thief fled from the spot. After getting the victim and the thief treated, the police have registered a case of theft. The police is searching for the absconding thief.
