According to the report of Timesofindia, this bird imitates the sounds of 35 other birds, 3 mammals and 2 frogs. Sameera Agnihotri, who has a master’s degree in Wildlife and Conservation from the National Center for Biological Sciences, Bengaluru, did three experiments on this bird. A year-long study was conducted in which they found that this bird can copy the sounds of 35 other birds and can also copy the sounds of some mammals and frogs.

The scientific name of the greater racket-tailed drongo bird is Dicrurus paradiseus. It is also known as Black Drongo. It is a medium-sized bird, also found in India, which has 2 special types of long feathers. When it flies, it may look as if two large bees are chasing a black bird.
