When did its construction start?
The construction of this church started on March 19, 1882, whose construction has not been completed yet due to many reasons. However, when completed, it will be the tallest religious building in Europe. The church was designed by Antoni Gaudí (1852–1926), but its design was later changed. This church is included in the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

Why has this church not been built yet?
The Sagrada Familia has been under construction since 1882 and is expected to be completed by 2026 or 2032. Design changes, funding challenges, external events, the Spanish Civil War and the COVID-19 pandemic are some of the reasons why this church has not yet been built. Now the church is being built with the money received from donations and ticket fees.
It is incomplete but still shows grandeur.
Despite being incomplete, it still oozes grandeur from every corner. It is considered a great example of architecture. It is one of the most famous sights of Barcelona and the most visited site in Spain. On Christmas, the decorations of this church and its towers are a sight to behold.
