Arpit Badkul/Damoh: This incident happened in 1947. When India got independence from British rule. Just 1 to 2 years before this session, a Jagdish Talkies was started in the heart of Damoh city of MP. Which the local people consider to be the first cinema hall of the district. A murder incident took place here in the 1990s. After which this cinema hall was closed. However, after some time, films started being shown to the audience in this cinema hall. But, this sequence continued for about 2 to 3 years and again the door of Jagdish Talkies was locked, which is still in place.
Actually, the incident that happened in this cinema hall, after which the local people have developed a misconception in their minds that strange sounds are heard when passing through this route late at night. After which people stopped going through this route and mothers started telling stories of this scary and haunted cinema hall to put their small children to sleep. Even though due to lack of maintenance, these talkies have turned into ruins, but they are seen here. The films going on used to be completely different.
Calling sound comes from inside the talkies,
Local resident Tanuj Parasar said that going through this route late at night brings fear and trembling. The sounds coming from inside are very scary. Some people have even heard that it calls but the journey is new, scary, long and some say that it pulls towards you. As many people keep talking about Jagdish Talkies.
