He laid the foundation of this shop at Kotwali intersection and now his fourth generation is also delivering this sweet to the people while maintaining the same taste and tradition.

The demand for this sweet increases manifold on Diwali. 15 kg milk is used to prepare bed-off sweets. But only 2-3 kg of prepared sweets can be made. This is the reason why its price also goes up to Rs 500 per kg. But its taste makes it priceless. This sweet is also known by many different names. Like Palang Tod, Khurchan, Lapeta, and Bedraul, but the name Bed Band gives it the most identity.

The recipe of this sweet is quite unique. Making it requires both time and patience. The Khandelwal family has preserved this recipe from generation to generation.
