Chhattarpur: Hanuman Ji’s temple located in Gudhaura village is a center of attraction not only for the local people but also for devotees from other states. The specialty of this temple is that the idol of Hanuman Ji installed here has emerged from the ground, whose right foot is said to be connected to the underworld. According to the priest Shobhalal Pandey, this idol is from the British era and due to its miraculous powers, people come to see it from far away. Shobhalal Pandey, who has been a priest for 22 years, says that the temple was built much later, but the idol is from the British era. About 80 years ago, when the dam was being constructed, this idol was found buried in the ground during excavation. At that time there was a dense forest here, and people were hesitant to come here due to fear of wild animals. The villagers planned to install the idol in the settlement, but it was not possible to remove it from the ground. Hanuman ji came in a dream and said that he should stay there and be worshipped, since then the idol is installed at the same place.
Beliefs related to Hades
Ramkishore Vishwakarma of the village says that the right leg of this statue is connected to the underworld. Excavations were done many times, but the end of the right leg could not be found. This mystery has further increased the importance of the statue. Kallu Singh, a resident of the village, says that whenever there is a crisis in the village, it is Hanuman ji who protects the village. Once when the fire of the brick kiln spread in the village, the villagers took the name of Hanuman ji, after which there was a storm and rain and the fire was extinguished.

An interesting thing about this temple is that no person can take false oaths after coming here. Whenever someone has a dispute and the villagers fail to resolve it, they come here, and their thinking changes. This resolves the disputes and peace prevails in the village. The miraculous powers and mysterious history of this temple have made it an important religious place, where people come from far and wide to seek blessings of Hanuman ji.
