The cricketer is given a high protein diet (chicken, soya, paneer) etc along with a diet rich in carbs and fluids every 02 hours. Which includes juices with fruits. According to Sunil Kumar Singh, General Manager Cricket (Operations) of BCA, cricketers first start playing with the aim of Ranji. He also told that in the morning breakfast, Ranji players are given boiled eggs to order, veg sandwich, cut fruit salad, juice, tea, coffee, sprouted moong, boiled gram, custard and curd. While the day’s lunch consists of roti, steamed rice, chicken do pyazha (with less spices), fish, chicken salad, egg to order, dal, steamed vegetable, a kadhi, papad, salad and buttermilk.
