Whoever is doing the job. He has a PF account. Every month 12% of the salary is deposited in the PF fund. Universal Account Number (UAN) is required to activate PF account. Which is available to employed people registered in EPF. But if your UAN has been deactivated. Then you can activate it again. After being registered in the EPF portal, UAN has to be activated only once. If you change job. Then you have to merge your PF account. To activate UAN, you have to go to the EPF portal. After which you will have to click on Activate UAN. After this choose one of the options of UAN, Member ID, Aadhar Card or PAN Card. After this, after filling the name, date of birth, mobile number and email ID, click on Get Authorization PIN. You will get OTP on the number registered on the portal. After entering this, click on Validate OTP and Activate UAN. Your UAN will be activated.
How to access account?
Once your account is created on the EPF portal and your UAN is activated, you can get its information anytime through this portal. For this you have to go to the member portal of EPFO. There you have to enter your UAN number and password. If you do not remember the password, you can create a new password through the number registered in the Aadhar card. After this you can login and see all your information.
