This is the only place in the world where you can dive between two tectonic plates. If you dive into the middle of this crack, you can touch two continents (Europe and North America). The view inside Silfra Fissure changes according to the season. Green algae make it colorful in summer, while in winter you can see snow here. Either way this place is quite breathtaking. This crack was formed in 1789 by earthquakes associated with the diverging motion of two tectonic plates.
