If someone asks you if you know the ‘Vicky Donor’ of bulls, what will be your answer? Yes, you are reading it right. We are going to tell you about a bull which will not be wrong if it is called Vicky Donor. Actually, there is a bull in Uttar Pradesh whose semen has given birth to 50,000 Desi cows so far. This bull is considered to be the most special bull of India, whose semen is proving to be very effective for those who want Desi cows. We are talking about the bull ‘Gorakh’ present in Uttar Pradesh. Which has been certified as the best bull of the country by the Central Government.
Why is Gorakh very special?
Gorakh, born on 29 January 2014 in Mirzapur, is the only bull in the whole country whose semen is being used to give birth to cows of the Gangatiri breed. Gorakh’s semen is being used to give birth to cows since 2019. According to a BBC report, all the Gangatiri cows born in Uttar Pradesh from semen are fathered by Gorakh, who is 6 feet tall and weighs 600 kg.
Actually Gorakh’s semen is collected twice a week and is kept in a special lab. Then through a special process, Gorakh’s semen is filled in small straws and sent to different parts of India. Farmers who want Gangatiri cows buy it for their cows.
What is diet?
Gorakh’s diet is also very special, which is taken care of by Uttar Pradesh’s ultra-frozen semen production center, Hapur. Gorakh has been living here for the last seven years, whose semen production is being taken since 2019. The Gangatiri breed of cows born from its semen are no less than a boon for the farmers of North India. Which produce a lot of milk. The special thing is that the entire responsibility of the birth of cows of this breed rests on Gorakh’s shoulders.
Talking about Gorakh’s diet, it is given a mixture of seasonal vegetables, 10 kg straw and 4 kg bread. Apart from this, its semen is also used to estimate the type of diet it should have.
