Jim, a resident of Venice, California, has been recognized by the Guinness World Record as the oldest bodybuilder in the world. When Jim was 13 years old, he had entered the world of bodybuilding. Once he went to a drug store where he saw a poster of a bodybuilding magazine in which two burly young men were seen. Since then he decided that he too would become like him.

Do exercise even at the age of 90
He started training with his father’s 3-pound steel ball and gained 10 pounds of muscle in just a few months. Then he never stopped and now he does weight training till the age of 90, however, he told what should be the way of exercise in old age. He said that at this age the body becomes more weak. That’s why you have to pay a lot of attention while training that you do not put too much pressure on it.

World record was made at the age of 85
Jim wanted to become Mr. America, but with increasing age, he realized that his dream would not be fulfilled. But he did not give up and continued doing bodybuilding. In the year 2018, at the age of 85, he got the title of oldest active bodybuilder. He still continues to participate in bodybuilding competitions above the age of 80.
