Actually, Palamu Lassi shop near Medininagar city police station in Palamu district headquarters is famous all over the state. Proprietor Shailendra Kumar started this lassi shop 30 years ago. At that time the rate of lassi was 5 rupees per glass. Today the price of the same glass has become 30 rupees. But the taste is still the same.

Consumption of 250 liters of milk in a day
Shailendra Kumar told Local 18 that he runs a lassi shop for only 8 months in a year. The lassi shop is open from February to October only. In the rest of the months, he sets up a snack shop. Kachori, Jalebi, Samosa and other items are available here. The shop turns into Palamu Lassi Shop from February onwards. People from Ranchi also come to taste it. 250 to 300 liters of milk is consumed in a day. For which cow and buffalo milk is brought from the village. Curd is prepared at home daily.

famous for rabri
He further said that his lassi is most famous for rabri. Rabri is prepared from 80 liters of milk every day. Rose water, cardamom, kewda and other things are mixed in it. This increases the quality of lassi. He told that two slabs of ice are used to make lassi every day. 1000 to 1200 glasses of lassi are sold in a day. After taking lassi, people definitely take rabri on top. Which they like very much.
