But if you taste the lassi available in Dadar, Mumbai, you will become crazy about it. There is a shop named Jai Shri Krishna Farm in Dadar, Mumbai. It is very famous for lassi. This shop is run by a person from Uttar Pradesh. Seeing the crowd in the shop, you will not believe that there can be so much crowd for lassi.
Selling lassi for 90 years
This shop located in Mukund Mansion is 90 years old. As soon as you enter this shop, you will see a narrow lane, in which long wooden seats have been made on both sides. People sit here in long queues and wait for the glass of lassi. A man comes with a tray of lassi and gives lassi one by one to the people standing in the queue. 150 to 200 kg of curd is used to make lassi in this shop every day. The shopkeeper says that about 1500 to 2000 glasses of lassi are sold every day.
This is how this special lassi is prepared
Let us tell you that unlike other places, you will not get lassi of different flavors here. Here you get only plain curd lassi. Lassi is creamy and cream is added on top. Shopkeepers do not make lassi from curd bought from the market. They themselves make curd from buffalo milk and use it for lassi. There is a very old wooden machine in this shop, with which lassi is made.
