Jehanabad: You must have heard and seen that in the memory of their dear ones, people get a statue, memorial as well as a park constructed. But you would never have heard or seen that someone has built a Hanuman temple in the memory of his wife. Something similar has been seen in Jehanabad.

This story is from Bharthu village located in Ghoshi block of Jehanabad district, where an old man built a Hanuman temple in the memory of his wife. The way the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan got the Taj Mahal built in the memory of his wife. Similarly, retired engineer Umesh Sharma of Bharthu village has got the Hanuman temple constructed in the memory of his late wife. He has got this Hanuman Garhi constructed on his own land in his native village.

After the death of his wife, he thought of building a temple.

Retired engineer Umesh Sharma says that when he was working in Prayag as an engineer. Then there was a Hanuman temple located in Prayag itself, for which he and his wife had attachment. There both used to go to worship everyday. When his wife died of illness, he decided to get a Hanuman Garhi built in his native village in the name of his late wife. After retiring from the post of engineer, he got this temple constructed in the village.

The temple was built without taking any financial help from anyone

Umesh Sharma says that he did not take financial help from anyone in the construction of this temple. About 25 lakhs were spent in building this temple. However, there was full contribution of family, society and village emotionally. In the opening ceremony of the temple, an invitation was sent to the entire villager and everyone was invited to the program.

There is an atmosphere of happiness in the whole village after the construction of this adorable Hanuman ji temple. All the villagers are dancing with happiness. The villagers say that this is the first temple built for Hanuman ji alone. It took 9 months to build this temple and his dream was fulfilled.

Mother-in-law’s soul was satisfied with the construction of the temple

Neetu Kumari, son of Umesh Verma, told that it is a matter of pride for her family that her father-in-law did such a big job alone. Today the soul of his late mother-in-law must be getting satisfied. On the other hand, granddaughter Katya Sharma told that it is feeling very good that Grandfather has got so many good temples constructed without taking any help from anyone.

Had grandmother seen this temple today, she would have been happy. Priest Kamlesh Upadhyay told that there is no place for the happiness of the people in the village. The entire village and the people of the society are celebrating that Umesh Verma did such a good job by building a temple. Everyone has money but not everyone does such a big job. The first temple of Hanuman ji is there in the village. Although two Ram-Janaki temples are also present here.
