Hyderabad: Hyderabad city, famous for its Biriyani, is also known for its historical buildings. There is a historical door here whose name is Lal Darwaza. It was completed in 1907. Today an area of Hyderabad city is known as Lal Darwaza. This door was built by Maharaja Kishan Prasad who was the Prime Minister of the Nizam government.
What is the history of Lal Darwaza
Dr. Ajmal Ali Khan, who has an understanding of history, while talking to Local 18, says that Lal Darwaza Nizam Mehboob Ali Khan had donated the land to Prime Minister Maharaja Kishan Prasad. This door was built in 1907. He further said that many things have been written about this door in the book ‘Hyderabad ke Mohalla’.
Lal Darwaza and Maa Durga Temple
Dr. Ajmal Ali Khan further says that the land donated enhances the Ganga Jamuni culture. A temple of Maa Durga was built there and the Red Gate was also constructed.
Threat to the existence of Lal Darwaza
Local resident Javed, who is an auto driver, tells Local 18 that this door has been broken long ago and only one wall is left. Doctor Ajmal says that it hurts a lot when history gets erased. The government should do something about this.

This door is very close to Charminar. At 1.3 km you will see Charminar. From all over Hyderabad you can easily reach Lal Darwaza by bus or metro.
