When was this palace built?According to The Sun report, the palace was built in 1985 by Sheikh Abdul-Aziz bin Humaid Al Qasimi, a member of the ruling family. Featuring marble floors, glass chandeliers and sleek design, the four-storey, 35-bedroom palace was meticulously built over 15 years with the Sheikh in mind. When it was completed in 1985, it was estimated to cost 500 million AED or £107 million, which would be an astonishing £317 million today.

Why did the Sheikh leave the palace empty?
According to the legend, the day the Sheikh came inside the palace, he started seeing furniture flying in the rooms at night and faces on the windows and walls.
