At some places people know it as Ghoda Pachaad and at some places people know it as Dhaman. He tells that in our rural areas people call this yellow snake in the local language. It is also called the friend of farmers. This is because the rat snake eats rats as food.

Snake catcher Ravi says that a rat snake eats 15 to 25 rats in a day and also digests them. That is why it is called the friend of farmers. Because the rat snake gets lost in the rats that destroy the farmers’ crops. He says that this species of snake is also very good for the environment.

Snake catcher Ravi says that the biggest specialty of the rat snake is that this snake even takes Asia’s most poisonous snake, the common krait, alive as its food. And also digests it easily. He tells that this snake does not pose a threat to human life but this snake provides many benefits to us. Therefore, it should not be killed and being a friend of farmers, it should be protected as much as possible. So that people can avoid dangerous snakes like common krait. And the environmental balance should also be maintained.

There is not even 1% poison in it
Snake catcher Ravi Meena says that the amount of poison in this species of snake is not even one percent. Even if this snake bites a person, due to the presence of bacteria in it, a minor infection can definitely spread in the body. Sarpamitra Ravi tells that after being bitten by this snake, a person needs only one injection of virus. Therefore, in case of a rat snake bite, one must go to the nearest hospital and get an injection of the virus.
