He told that when Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru came to Ballia on 12 October 1945, the then Congress leader Pandit Tarakeshwar Pandey had fed him Panpiyav. Nehru ji liked this dish very much and he said that this is the most prosperous area of the country where people eat such a nutritious breakfast.
