From morning till evening there are queues to eat this waxed Rabdi Ghevar.
Shopkeeper Shyam Sundar Khatri told that in the whole of Bikaner, Lachha Rabdi Ghevar is made only here. This shop is about 53 years old. This Rabdi Ghevar is being sold for Rs 460 per kg. People come here from far and wide to eat Ghevar. Generally the weight of ghevar is 400 to 500 grams, but here the waxed rabri ghevar weighs 800 grams. Due to which a person’s stomach gets filled by eating this Ghevar just once.
It takes three hours to make ghevar and rabri
He says that it takes three hours to make ghevar, rabri and waxed cream here. This ghevar is ready in five minutes. This ghevar is made from a mixture of milk, flour, dry ginger and water. It is made in ghee and oil. After making it for about five minutes, it is dipped in sugar syrup. Then it is completely ready.
For this, a separate furnace is made which is usually built on coal or wood. After this rabri is made. This rabri is made from pure milk. It takes two to three hours to make this rabri. Here Rabri is made by churning milk. Apart from this, pieces of cream are applied.
