Rajasthan is going through a period of severe heat, the temperature has broken all records of the past several years, in such a situation people need something that gives relief to coolness, there is also a risk of dehydration in summers, therefore people keep drinking cold beverages continuously, in which Shikanji and juice are in the highest demand, similarly a unique shop started in 1987 located in Ramganj Bazar of Jaipur, where Shikanji is prepared in a completely unique way, shop number 150 located in Ramganj Bazar is famous as Anas Kulfa Centre, here a huge crowd of people gather to drink Shikanji during the summer days, here Shikanji is prepared in a completely different way than usual, which makes its taste amazing.
Mohammad Aslam, who has been running this shop since 1987, says that we prepare lemonade shikanji in a special way for summers, in which ice and sugar are melted and kept in a big round jar and churned for hours, then shikanji is prepared with lemon and special tasty spices, which tastes amazing, and people like it very much. Mohammad Aslam says that people who come to the market in the scorching heat definitely taste our special shikanji once, this special shikanji is mostly famous in Delhi and other states but such shikanji is prepared at only a few places in Jaipur.
After the mosque, a handcart started
Mohammad Aslam says that years ago we started this unique Shikanji by putting a cart outside the mosque and people liked this special Shikanji very much, so with time we started a shop and now in the summers, there is a crowd of people here day and night.
Special Shikanji in summers and coffee in winters, both these items are in the highest demand among people. Mohammad Aslam tells that when Shikanji was started, a glass used to cost Rs. 1 but now the price of a glass of Shikanji is Rs. 15. People drink two to three glasses of Shikanji at a time. Especially in summers, people come from far away to enjoy our Shikanji.
