This village of Bihar is famous for milk and curd. Most of the people of the village do milk business. Now we will tell about it in detail. This village is Dhamara Ghat located on Saharsa Mansi railway section. So much milk is produced here that it is supplied to 7-8 nearby districts. As soon as 5 o’clock in the morning, a stream of milk starts flowing in this area. Milk is heated on big furnaces and after heating the milk, people associated with the business take the milk and go to sell it in other districts.
People of the area say that milk business has been going on on a large scale in this area for centuries. Mostly people do business of milk. Milk goes from here to many other districts including Saharsa, Madhepura, Supaul, Munger, Khagaria. People doing milk business start lining up from morning itself. Milk is prepared by heating it on big furnaces. This business is so spread that milk orders are received here for big events from marriage to other functions.
Small pleasure
Local resident Dharmendra Yadav says that about 500 people of this village are doing milk business. Most of the people of the village are associated with this business. People also call this village a milk hub. Most of the milk in Bihar is produced from this village. Milk is prepared on the furnaces from 5:00 am to 6:00 pm. Pure milk and curd also go from this village. This caravan keeps moving from morning to evening.
