In Chitrakoot, a person performed his own last rites and now the person is busy preparing to perform his thirteenth rites.

We are talking about Ravi Shankar Singh (45 years), resident of Chibo village of Chitrakoot district, who got his last rites performed while he was alive. The person has performed his last rites and now has also shaved his head. He says that it was God’s wish and as per his wish I have got my last rites performed. Now he is going to organize his thirteenth rites on 7th March.

Ravi Shankar told that he is not married yet. He has three brothers and he is the youngest among the three brothers. Earlier, he used to work in grinding marble stones while living in Prayagraj and has been confined to his house for the last eight months. After getting his new house built, first Kirtan was performed, then Ramayana was performed and after that, with the grace of Ganga Mai, he performed the last rites. When he was asked whether the family members would not refuse, he said that even if they refuse, so what, it is God’s will.
