Three cousins drowned during idol immersion in Agra, Uttar Pradesh on Saturday. People somehow saved two. While one drowned. There was an outcry in the house due to the incident. The family accused the police of negligence. The matter is being investigated.
The incident took place at Shankarpur Ghat of Fatehabad police station area. Goddess idols were being immersed here. Three cousins of a resident of Dharapura of the area had gone to watch the immersion of the idol. These included Yogesh’s sons Deepak (12) and Anand (10) and Pramod’s son Golu alias Shivam (12). The elder brother’s feet slipped and he fell into the water. Seeing him drowning, both the brothers jumped to save him. He started drowning in water.
