Co-operative headquarters will be in Delhi, Gujarat

According to the media report, the blueprint has been prepared to form the National Co-operative. Co-operative offices will be in Delhi to ensure availability of seeds in them and to promote exports. Co-operative institutions also have a major stake in milk, sugar and fertilizers in India. According to statistics, cooperatives produce 30.6 percent of the total sugar production in India. Cooperatives have a 28.8 percent stake in the production of fertilizers, 35 percent in fertilizer distribution and 17.5 percent in purchasing surplus milk in the country.
