The three youths caught in Badaun’s Alaapur area on Monday night circulated fake notes worth Rs 93,600 in the market. They had bought fake notes worth Rs 1 lakh for Rs 30,000 from a man in Haridwar. After this, they divided the fake notes among themselves and started circulating them in shops. On Monday night, the accused bought cold drinks at a grocery store by paying a fake note of Rs 200. The shopkeeper called the police on suspicion. The police arrested all three. Fake notes worth only Rs 6400 have been recovered from the accused. Apart from them, Rs 1250 real notes have also been recovered. The police presented them in court on Wednesday afternoon, from where they were sent to jail.

SP City Amit Kishore Srivastava said that the three youths were arrested from a WagonR car. Information was received that they have fake notes. They go to rural areas and circulate fake notes. Due to this, the police reached the spot and caught the three youths. During interrogation, they told their names as Manoj son of Gajendra Singh, resident of village Bajhera of Usawan police station area, Abhay Gupta son of Brajesh Gupta, resident of Mohalla Bajariya of Alaapur town and Govind alias Gaurav Gupta Madanlal Gupta, who lives nearby.
