The tiger, which came out of the forest of Gola Range of South Kheri Forest Division in Lakhimpur Kheri and was roaming on the roads and fields, spread panic by attacking people at two places in a span of six hours on Sunday. In the morning, after injuring two laborers who were sowing sugarcane in the fields on the banks of Kuraiya village, the tiger hid in the bushes near a private school on the Bankeganj-Gola road. During this time a large crowd gathered to see the tiger.

When a yoga teacher came near and took a photo of the tiger, it attacked. The yoga teacher was injured in the attack. Seeing this, there was a stampede in the crowd on the road. People started running to save their lives. Forest personnel had to struggle to control the crowd. During this period, traffic was disrupted for half an hour. Traffic operations started after the tiger was chased into the forest.

Villagers were sowing sugarcane in the fields on the banks of Kuraiya village near Gola Range West Beat forest at around 7 am on Sunday morning. During this time, the tiger that came out of the bushes attacked Kamlesh, 20 year old son of Nandram, resident of Kuraiya village and Manoj, 35 year old son of Girija Shankar. Both were seriously injured in the attack. Both the workers suffered deep injuries on their hands, back and shoulders in the sudden attack.

When fellow laborers raised an alarm, the tiger hid in the nearby fields. The injured laborers were taken to Gola CHC. The forest department team reached the spot after receiving the information and started trying to drive the tiger into the forest. After some time, the tiger hiding in the bushes hid in the bushes near the Children Academy School on the Bankeganj-Gola road.
