According to the State of India’s Environment (SOE) report of the Center for Science and Environment, the trend of human deaths in animal attacks is shocking. Between 2020 and 2024, 2243 humans have died in elephant attacks. These figures are shocking because elephants are not violent. & Nbsp;
Many lives in tiger attacks
According to the report, 300 lives have been lost across the country in tiger attacks from 2020 to 2023. At the same time, human deaths have declined by 58 percent in 2023 as compared to 2022. Whereas, the cases of humans killing in elephants have increased by 36 percent in 10 states. The report says that there are 16 states of the country where there is a conflict between humans and elephants. & Nbsp;
Many elephants also died
According to the State of India Environment Report, cases of elephants’ deaths have also increased in two years. In 2019-20, 99 elephants died across the country. In 2023-24, this figure increased to 121. In this, 94 elephants died of electric current. The maximum 80 deaths occurred in the state of Kerala. & Nbsp;
