There were tight security arrangements in the capital Delhi during the Pran Pratistha program in Ayodhya. During this period, apart from all the small and big temples of Delhi, there was strict police vigil in the sensitive and highly sensitive areas. Along with the local police, more than 30 companies of paramilitary forces were deployed in different areas of Delhi.

During the Pran Pratistha, processions were taken out in the entire capital amid tight security arrangements. Senior officers of Delhi Police were seen patrolling the streets. Apart from monitoring with drones, the entire capital was kept under surveillance with the help of CCTV cameras. Police sources said that an alert was received from intelligence agencies that mischievous elements could spread trouble in Delhi through social media. In such a situation, a close watch was kept on social media throughout the day.

In the capital, the police started barricading and checking suspicious vehicles from Sunday night. People coming from outside Delhi were also kept under strict vigil. There were tight security arrangements at the airport, railway station and bus stands. The police visited hotels, guest houses and dharamshalas and investigated. In view of the Republic Day and Pran Pratistha programme, the police are continuously holding meetings with RWAs and MWAs. Apart from the peace committee of the police station, the police met influential people of the area and appealed to maintain peace. The police appealed to the people to maintain peace and brotherhood under all circumstances.

In Delhi, many programs were organized in most of the temples of the capital including Birla Temple, Kalkaji Temple, Jhandewalan, Hanuman Temple. During this time, the police made several levels of security arrangements there. Delhi Police personnel were deployed in the first circle and paramilitary force personnel in the second. Entry into big temples was given only through metal detectors. The officer said that earlier the atmosphere in Jahangirpuri, North-East Delhi, Trilokpuri areas had deteriorated due to small issues, hence the police kept special vigil in these areas. Apart from continuously patrolling, the police has also been keeping an eye on the area through drones for the past several days. The rooftops of the houses in these areas have also been searched.
