Ingredients to make Til Chikki
Sesame – 1 cup
Jaggery – 1 cup
Desi ghee – 1 tsp

How to make Til Chikki
To make traditional sesame chikki with sesame and jaggery, first of all, put sesame seeds in a pan and roast it on a low flame. Sesame seeds have to be roasted till their color turns light pink and they start spluttering. After this, take out the sesame seeds in a vessel. Now put 1 spoon of desi ghee in the pan and heat it. When the ghee melts, put jaggery in it and let it cook on medium flame. Let it cook while stirring till the jaggery melts completely.

If you want, you can also use sugar instead of jaggery for chikki. Keep in mind that jaggery has to be boiled until it becomes shiny and thick. After this happens, add roasted sesame seeds to the melted jaggery and mix it well. After this, apply some ghee in a plate/tray and grease its bottom. Instead of this, put the prepared mixture in it and spread it evenly all around.
